If you have been involved in an accident that wasn’t your fault, CAMS will help get you back on the road.
Once they've taken your details and decided whether they can assist you, they focus on getting you back on a bike (injury pending) within a week or two and will sort out all the finances so you usually have nothing to pay. They will then deal with the rest of your claim after that.

There are many reasons why to have insurance for you and your trusty steed, including:
- You'll be covered if your bike is stolen (if you adhere to the insurers advice such as ensuring you have an adequate lock on your bike)
- If you have an accident on your bike that is your fault and involves another party, you are covered
- If you have an accident on your bike that doesn't involve anyone, you can also claim (if you've selected accidental cover)
- Your home insurance won't always cover you for riding your bike (often it will only cover you for theft of your bike at home)
- You can cover yourself for not just the bike, but for expensive parts and accessories too
- You'll be covered for any injuries you may sustain
To us insurance is a no brainer, especially if you have a bike worth a fair bit of money (£1,000 or more).
As an example, if you have an accident on a carbon bike that is your own fault, the best thing to do would be to send it away for a scan to ensure there isn't any damage to the frame and fork. This can be quite costly, as well as any potential repair. If you're covered, then you don't need to worry about these costs and quite often, it may be easier for the insurer to replace the whole bike.
